Bloco do Sul

Bloco do Sul are what is coloqually known as a 'Samba band'. Playing Brasilian inspired percussion music. We'll be 20 years old in 2008 and are the oldest 'bloco' in the UK of which there are around 200.

We are available to play for parties, festivals, parades, hatches, matches and dispatches.

For that really special occassion we can create a large show with our sister groups EclectiX &/or Choro Bandido.

Our friendly open community workshops are held in Dorking, Surrey every Monday (including school holidays) and are proving to be popular. Come down and learn some Afro-Brazilian dance &/or percussion.

Dance £5 - 19:30 to 20:30. Percussion £4 - 20:00 to 22:00. £7 for both.
